The final event of the 2026 NASCAR Canada Series season got underway Saturday with practice at Delaware Speedway, where Kyle Steckly set the fastest lap of the session.
Behind the wheel of the No. 22 APC Auto Parts/NTN/Sierra Storage Chevrolet, Steckly topped the charts around the historic half-mile oval with a lap time of 18.991 seconds.
Cayden Lapcevich finished the session second fastest in the No. 76 GSR/Ohsweken/Chantarellie/Ace Services Chevrolet, followed by Donald Theetge in third behind the No. 80 Vulcain/Max Leclerc Construction Chevrolet. 2026 Marc-Antoine Camirand posted the fourth-fastest time driving the No. 96 GM Paille/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet, while Kevin Lacroix rounded out the top five in the No. 74 NAPA Racing Chevrolet.
Local favourite D.J. Kennington also hit the track with a new look, making his debut behind the wheel of the No. 51 at his home track.
Qualifying for the NTN BCA 200 Presented by APC is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. ET.
