The NASCAR Canada Series heads to the tarmac of Complexe ICAR this Saturday, August 29, with a 24-car field set for the NAPA 100.
Among the drivers entered this weekend, three have previously visited Victory Lane at the road course. Andrew Ranger, driving the No. 27 GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada/BFL Chevrolet, leads all active drivers with five victories at ICAR, winning in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2024. Kevin Lacroix, commanding the No. 74 NAPA Racing Chevrolet, has four victories at the circuit, earned in 2015, 2017, 2021 and 2022, while Marc-Antoine Camirand, behind the No. 96 GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet, has won twice, in 2023 and 2025.
Last season, Camirand earned the victory ahead of Ranger and Alex Tagliani in the No. 80 St. Hubert/UPS Store/Bet GRW/Olymel Chevrolet. Ranger started the race from pole after setting a new track record with a lap of 1:02.864 in the No. 27 Paillé Racing Chevrolet.
Several Quebec drivers will be racing close to home when the NASCAR Canada Series heads north of Montreal this weekend. Laval will be represented by Justin Arseneau, who returns behind the wheel of the No. 8 Piscine Fibro, Festival Volaria, ICAR Experience Chevrolet, and Simon Charbonneau in the No. 88 TransGestion/Complexe AutoPlus/NAPA/IAI Chevrolet.
Terrebonne’s Alex Guenette will take the wheel of the No. 39 DLGL/GL Électricité Automatisation Chevrolet, while his grandfather, Jacques Guénette Sr., joins him on the grid in the No. 93 Loto-Québec/DLGL/ViP Software Chevrolet.
The field will also feature Kevin Lacroix from Saint-Eustache, while Dave Coursol from Saint-Jérôme will be behind the wheel of the No. 54 Carquest/Qualité Réfrigération/Assainiteck Dodge. Blainville will be represented by Mathieu Kingsbury in the No. 9 Duroking/BFL Canada Chevrolet and Serge Bourdeau in the No. 55 Excellence Dodge Chrysler Dodge.
Alex Tagliani from Lachenaie enters the weekend in the No. 80 St-Hubert/UPS Store/Bet GRW/Olymel Chevrolet. Also on the entry list are Mirabel’s Herby Drescher in the No. 53 Herby’s Lifts/Anna Romatowska RE/MAX Dodge and J.P. Bergeron from Saint-Donat-de-Montcalm in the No. 1 ERacer/JC Perreault/Prolon/La Domaine Shannon Ford entry.
Camirand enters the NAPA 100 leading the championship standings with 503 points. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin sits second with 420 points, followed by Kevin Lacroix with 393 points, D.J. Kennington with 377 points and rookie Connor Bell with 372 points.
On-track action begins Saturday with practice at 10:15 a.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 1:20 p.m. ET. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the drivers during the NASCAR Canada autograph session from 4:30 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. ET.
The green flag for the NAPA 100 is scheduled to wave at 5:40 p.m. ET on Saturday. The race will be broadcast live on REV TV, TVA Sports 2 and the NASCAR Canada YouTube channel, with tape-delayed coverage also available on TSN.
