The NASCAR Canada Series returns to the Greater Toronto Area this weekend, August 14-15, for the Markham 125, taking on the new 3.52-kilometre, 12-turn street circuit as part of the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham.
After competing on the streets of Toronto in previous seasons, the series will make its first appearance in Markham, where drivers will face a new challenge. The Markham 125 will mark the 11th race of the 2026 NASCAR Canada season and the second consecutive street-course event following last weekend’s Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières. While the circuit itself will be new to the field, NASCAR Canada has a long history of racing in the Greater Toronto Area. The series last competed on the streets of Toronto in 2023, when Alex Tagliani claimed the victory. Tagliani returns to the Greater Toronto Area this weekend behind the wheel of the No. 80 St-Hubert/UPS Store/Bet GRW/Olymel Chevrolet.
With four races remaining on the 2026 schedule, Marc-Antoine Camirand arrives in Markham with the championship lead. The driver of the No. 96 GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet sits atop the standings with 455 points. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, in the No. 47 WeatherTech/Bellemare/Omnifab Dodge, holds second with 379 points, followed closely by Kevin Lacroix, behind the No. 74 NAPA Racing Chevrolet, with 367 points. D.J. Kennington, in the No. 17 Castrol/BrimstoneGames/DriveBuySupply/CIM Dodge, sits fourth with 340 points, while rookie Connor Bell, behind the No. 3 Dymon/Sangsin Brake/HGC/Fast Eddie Chevrolet this weekend, rounds out the top five with 332 points.
Former NFL player Jared Odrick will make his second NASCAR Canada appearance this weekend, in the No. 24 Black’s Underwear/Cathcart Trucking/BCR Ford, after making his series debut at Trois-Rivières. Odrick showed promising pace throughout his first NASCAR Canada weekend but his race ultimately ended prematurely.
Set to make his series debut is current IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship LMP2 driver and 2022 Emzone Radical Cup Canada champion Jonathan Woolridge, who joins the NASCAR Canada grid this weekend in Markham behind the wheel of the No. 8 for EHR.
Daniel Bois will also join the field in Markham, making his first start of the 2026 season behind the wheel of the No. 93 DLGL Chevrolet.
On-track action begins this Friday afternoon with a 30-minute practice session at 5:00 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 5:35 p.m. ET. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the drivers during the NASCAR Canada autograph session on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET.
The green flag for the Markham 125 is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. ET on Saturday. The race will be broadcast live on REV TV, TVA Sports 2 and the NASCAR Canada YouTube channel, with tape-delayed coverage also available on TSN.
