William Larue Fastest in Practice at Edmonton International Raceway

Practice Results

Four different drivers topped the timing charts during Saturday’s practice sessions at Edmonton International Raceway. Donald Theetge, D.J. Kennington, Kevin Lacroix and rookie William Larue each led the field at different points, with Larue ultimately recording the fastest combined lap of the day at 13.186 seconds in the No. 45 Larue Industrial Snow Blowers/LeeBoy Chevrolet.

“It’s a brand-new track for the whole team and me. At first, I had to adjust because it’s a momentum track. You can’t just keep the throttle to the floor, you have to play with the throttle and the brake. We kind of found what I think is the fastest groove and started working on the setup around it. In the end, we ended up P1 in the final practice,” said Larue.

With a lap time of 13.205s, Donald Theetge set the second-fastest time in practice in the  No. 80 Vulcain/Max Leclerc Construction Chevrolet. Kevin Lacroix commanding the No. 74 Valvoline/NAPA Racing Chevrolet posted the third-best time of the session.

Rounding out the top five are D.J. Kennington in the No. 17 Castrol/BrimstoneGames/DriveBuySupply/CIM Dodge and Alex Tagliani in the No. 3 Olymel/Wurth/Ureco Chevrolet.

Qualifying for the Dorman Products 150 will take place at 4:40 p.m. MT (6:40 p.m. ET)
