Following a rain-soaked morning, the initial practice session got underway on a damp Calabogie circuit under gradually clearing skies. With most teams having already completed laps during Friday’s unofficial test sessions hosted by the track, only four cars participated in Saturday’s initial practice. Alex Guenette, driving the No. 39 DLGL / GL Électricité-Automatisations Chevrolet, recorded the fastest lap in Friday’s test.
More competitors joined the track for the final practice session, with eight cars participating across Saturday’s two practice sessions. Malcolm Strachan, driving the No. 98 Curb Records / Darkhorse Trailers / Strode’s / muscle.ca Ford, recorded the fastest lap of the combined practice sessions with a lap of 1:13.192.
As the circuit was deemed wet for both the initial and final practice sessions, the practice results will not be used to set the qualifying groups for later today.
