Brad Ranson returns to the NASCAR Canada Series this weekend looking to build on the experience gained in his series debut as the championship heads to Calabogie Motorsports Park for Round seven of the 2026 season in the #28 Wallace Chevrolet/Best Deal Graphics Chevy.
While this will be just his second NASCAR Canada Series start, Ranson has previously competed at Calabogie in the Super Production Series, earning several top five finishes.
His NASCAR Canada debut earlier this season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park showed promise before a mechanical issue forced an early retirement, preventing the team from showcasing its full potential.
Since then, Ranson has continued to sharpen his road racing skills overseas in the NASCAR Euro Series. Most recently, he recorded his best finish in the series at the historic Brands Hatch circuit in England while also earning a podium finish in the Challenger Class.
Although the NASCAR Canada Series stock cars present a much different challenge than the Super Production cars he has raced previously at Calabogie, Ranson believes the familiarity with the circuit will still provide an advantage.
“I definitely learned a lot over those two Euro races, especially at Brands Hatch”, said Ranson. “The Indy layout was like Canadian tracks, only six turns, but like Calabogie, some fast sweeping cambered corners into heavy braking zone. The Super Production cars are very different than NASCAR machines, but every lap of experience helps”.
With experience at the circuit, additional seat time gained through NASCAR Euro Series competition, and confidence continuing to grow, Ranson and the DJK Racing team are looking to turn that preparation into a strong finish on Sunday afternoon.
