Kennington Eyes More Success at Riverside

DJ Kennington and the #17 Castrol Dodge team are headed east this weekend to compete on one of the most challenging tracks on the NASCAR Canada Series schedule, returning to Riverside International Speedway near Antigonish, Nova Scotia for 300 laps of racing action on Saturday June 27th.

The St. Thomas, Ontario driver enters the event with history of success on the high banked oval that was modeled after the famous track in Bristol, Tennessee. A year ago, the veteran racer captured his third victory at Riverside, leading nearly half the scheduled race laps. The win was another impressive run at the track where he’s finished in the top five in 11 of his previous 16 runs.

With significant banking around the entire track racers will be running side by side at tremendous speeds creating non-stop excitement for the fans.

“What a great place, we love coming out to Riverside and we’ve had a lot of success there,” said Kennington. “The Castrol team has everything ready to go for another strong run and keep us climbing in the championship standings.

Saturday’s schedule will feature two, 30-minute practice sessions in the afternoon followed by qualifying and then 300 laps of NASCAR Canada competition.
