The penultimate event of the NASCAR Canada Series season kicked off with practice at Delaware Speedway, where defending champion Marc-Antoine Camirand set the pace in the No. 96 Paillé Racing Chevrolet. He topped the charts on the historic half-mile oval with a lap time of 18.952 seconds.
Local favorite D.J. Kennington placed second on the leaderboard at his home track in the No. 17 Castrol Edge/Brimstone Games/CIM Metals Dodge.
Donald Theetge, driving the No. 80 Garoy Construction/Revêtements Vulcain Chevrolet, clocked in third, followed by Andrew Ranger in the No. 27 Paillé Racing Chevrolet in fourth. Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, behind the wheel of the No. 47 WeatherTech/Bellemare/Omnifab Dodge, rounded out the top five.
Qualifying for the opening race of the day, the APC 125, is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET.
