Alex Tagliani topped the charts in Saturday’s NASCAR Canada Series practice at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, setting the pace on the historic road course ahead of the WeatherTech 200.
The veteran driver of the No. 80 St-Hubert / UPS / Bet GRW / Dry Shine Chevrolet led the way early and held strong throughout the session, recording a best lap of 1:21.373. GP3R winner Andrew Ranger followed in second with the No. 27 Paillé Racing Chevrolet, while defending champion Marc-Antoine Camirand completed the top three in the No. 96 Paillé Racing Chevrolet.
Alex Guenette secured the fourth-fastest time in the No. 39 GL Électricité-Automatisations / Bet GRW Chevrolet, just ahead of Kyle Steckly, who had claimed the E3 Spark Plugs Pole Award at CTMP in May, rounding out the top five in his No. 22 MBS / Sierra Excavation / APC Chevrolet.
The series returns to the track later today for Qualifying at 4:45 p.m.
