Andrew Ranger, the winningest driver at Complexe ICAR, once again proved his mastery of the Mirabel track by securing pole position for the Evirum 100. Behind the wheel of the No. 27 Paillé Racing Chevrolet, Ranger clocked a blistering lap of 1:02.864, earning the E3 Spark Plugs Pole Award and setting a new track record in the process.
“The car is handling very well,” said Ranger after the race. “We’re confident for the race, we’ll try to score as many points as possible for the championship hunt.”
Starting alongside him on the front row will be his Paillé Racing counterpart Marc-Antoine Camirand in the No. 96 Chevrolet. Camirand set the second-fastest time, just 0.522 seconds adrift of Ranger, setting the stage for a fierce battle between the two when the green flag drops.
Young standout Justin Arseneau continued to impress, securing third on the grid with a strong performance in the No. 3 Piscine Fibro / Volaria Air Show / Chevrolet 440. Veteran Alex Tagliani wasn’t far behind, putting his No. 80 St-Hubert / Bet GRW / UPS Chevrolet in fourth place, ensuring plenty of star power at the front of the field.
