NASCAR Canada Series Returns to Complexe ICAR for the Evirum 100

Provisional Entry List

The NASCAR Canada Series heads to Complexe ICAR this Saturday, August 23, for the Evirum 100. Although ICAR has been featured on the calendar for more than a decade, only four drivers have managed to claim victory at the track. Robin Buck opened the history books with the inaugural win in 2011. Andrew Ranger has since established himself as the dominant force with five victories (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2024). Fresh off his recent triumph at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, Ranger will be aiming to secure an unprecedented sixth win at ICAR behind the wheel of the No. 27 GM Paillé Chevrolet.

Second on the all-time ICAR winners list is Kevin Lacroix, with four wins (2015, 2017, 2021, and 2022). Lacroix finished runner-up last year and will be looking to reclaim victory in the No. 74 Adaptive One Calipers/NAPA Racing Chevrolet. Defending series champion and 2023 ICAR winner Marc-Antoine Camirand also has his eyes on the win in the No. 96 GM Paillé Chevrolet.

Notable contenders this Saturday include Alex Guénette in the No. 39 GL Électricité-Automatisations/Bet GRW Chevrolet, who narrowly missed the podium last year with a fourth-place finish, Alex Tagliani in the No. 80 St-Hubert/UPS Store/Bet GRW/DryShine Chevrolet, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin in the No. 47 WeatherTech/Bellemere/Omnifab Dodge, and D.J. Kennington, runner-up in the current championship standings, in the No. 17 Castrol Edge/Brimstone Games/CIM Metals Dodge.

The entry list also features new additions. Justin Arseneau makes his first start of the 2025 season in the No. 3 Ed Hakonson Racing, while Marc-André Lachapelle will make his series debut behind the wheel of the No. 73 prepared by Donald Theetge’s organization.

The championship battle remains as tight as ever, with only 18 points separating fifth place from the leader, Camirand.

On-track activities begin with practice at 10:15 a.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 1:15 p.m. ET. The Evirum 100 will take place at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Fans can catch the action live on REV TV and TVA Sports 2, with a rebroadcast airing on TSN.
