Provisional Final Practice Results
Rookie Connor Bell impressively shot to the top of the timing charts in the final Practice session at Calabogie Motorsports Park, clocking a session-best 1:13.354 aboard the No. 3 Dymon/Eastrock/Peck’s Marine/NBS Chevrolet. Bell’s lap, set 30 minutes into the session, edged out veteran Marc-Antoine Camirand by just 0.004 seconds.
The early part of the session saw Camirand lead the field in the No. 96 Paillé Chevrolet, followed closely by Alex Guenette in the No. 39 GL Électricité Automatisation / BGRW entry and Andrew Ranger in the No. 27 Paillé Chevrolet.
Rookies made their presence known early, with Bell running fourth and part-time driver Simon Charbonneau placing fifth in the No. 88 TransGestion / NAPA / IAI Experts-Conseils Chevrolet.
At the 20-minute mark, Malcolm Strachan slotted into third aboard the No. 98 Curb Records/Darkhorse Trailers/Strode’s Ford, while Ranger and Bell rounded out the top five.
A brief full-course yellow slowed the action with 15 minutes to go, but the pace quickly picked up again. In the closing stages, Bell pulled off the lap that would seal the top spot, with Camirand settling for second and Alex Tagliani sliding into third in the No. 80 St-Hubert Chevrolet. Guenette and Stachan rounded off the Top 5.
Qualifying is set to take place at 6 PM on Saturday evening.
