Provisional Practice 1 Results
Marc-Antoine Camirand wasted no time asserting himself at Calabogie Motorsports Park in his No. 96 Paillé Chevrolet, laying down the fastest lap of the session, a 1:13.641, on his very first flying lap. His early benchmark held firm through the session, despite strong efforts from the competition.
Alex Guenette, commanding the No. 39 GL Électricité Automatisation / BGRW, came closest, posting his best time on Lap 2, just 0.237 seconds off Camirand’s pace. Andrew Ranger also hit his stride early in the No. 27 Paillé Chevrolet, setting his quickest time on Lap 2 to slot into third overall.
The No. 80 St-Hubert Chevrolet of Alex Tagliani was an early contender inside the top three but was bumped to fourth by Ranger, with the No. 59 Autologic / Hofman Plastics Dodge of Gary Klutt initially holding on to fifth before L.P. Dumoulin put in a late flyer in his No. 47 WeatherTech Canada / Omnifab Dodge to claim the spot in the closing minutes.
NASCAR Canada’s drivers will be back on track at 3 PM for the Final Practice session before Qualifying at 6 PM.
