After clocking the fastest lap in practice earlier today, Donald Theetge clinched the E3 Spark Plugs Pole Award during the qualifying session with a time of 12.924s. He will start from pole position for the NAPA 300 at Edmonton International Raceway.
“We’re very proud to be on the pole today. We’ve worked really hard since the beginning of the season with this new car. We were fast at Riverside and even faster here to get the pole. It’s a 300-lap race, so we’ll have to be patient but we’re ready to win. We’ve got a very good car” said Theetge.
Just 00.004 seconds behind him is Andrew Ranger, who will start second on the grid in the No. 27 GM Paillé Chevrolet. Mathieu Kingsbury locked in third with a lap of 12.978 seconds commanding the No. Duroking/BFL Canada Chevrolet.
He is followed by Kevin Lacroix in the No. 74 Adaptive One Calipers / NAPA Racing Chevrolet who will start fourth and Ryan Vargas who rounds out the top five in the No. 28 Critical Path Security Canada Dodge.
The green flag for NAPA 300 is set to wave at 7:45 p.m. MT. Fans can catch all the action live on REV TV, TVA Sports and tape-delayed broadcasts on TSN.
