D.J. Kennington Clinched Pole Position Ahead of the NASCAR Canada 300

D.J. Kennington captured the E3 Spark Plugs Pole Award in his No. 17 Castrol Edge / Brimstone Games / CIM Metals Dodge ahead of the NASCAR Canada 300 with a time of 14.562.

“Lucky to get the pole here at Riverside International Speedway. We worked really hard on the car, and it’s paying off so far. Now we’ve got 300 laps to see if it stays there. So far, it’s going fast. Hopefully, we can keep it up all day,” said Kennington.

Kevin Lacroix will start second in the No. 74 Adaptive One Calipers / NAPA Racing Chevrolet, clocking a time just 0.085 seconds off Kennington’s pole-setting lap. Donald Theetge, who was fastest in the practice session, secured third in the No. 80 St-Hubert / UPS Store / Bet GRW Chevrolet.

Mathieu Kingsbury put the No. 9 Duroking / BFL Canada Chevrolet in fourth, with Andrew Ranger completing the top five aboard the No. 27 GM Paillé Chevrolet.
