The NASCAR Canada field took to the iconic Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for Practice on Saturday afternoon. 28 drivers were on track fine-tuning their machines ahead of Qualifying later. Marc-Antoine Camirand, commanding the #96 GM Paillé Chevrolet set the fastest lap time clocking in at 1:22.442.
“ The car felt pretty good in Practice, we’re P1. It was a little loose, and we made some adjustments but we didn’t have time to go back on track because of the caution. Things are looking good for the rest of the day,” said Camirand ahead of this afternoon’s Qualifying.
Andrew Ranger posted the second-best time, just 0.103 off Camirand, in his #27 GM Paillé Chevrolet.
Kevin Lacroix, aboard his #74 Adaptive One Calipers/NAPA Racing Chevrolet, followed in third, with Jason Hathaway in the #3 Leland/Sangsin Brakes/Fast Eddie/HGC Chevrolet and Alex Guénette in the #39GL Électricité-Automatisations/Bet GRW Chevrolet rounding out the top five.
Qualifying for the Clarington 200 will take place today at 4:45 p.m. ET.
