When did you start racing?
I started when I was 14 at the Hyth Motor Speedway in the Mini Stock class.
Is there anyone you look up to in racing?
I admire both local talents and the superstars of NASCAR and other forms of racing. Even today, I find inspiration in the talents on the field. You can always learn something from everyone, so I definitely look up to a few people.
What is your bucket list track to race at?
As a NASCAR fan and part of the NASCAR ranks, I’ve always wanted to race at Daytona. Additionally, there are many road courses in Europe that would be special to experience. There are so many tracks I’d love to race on, especially the F1 circuits with their intense atmosphere and nostalgia.
Can you share what you think is special about your hometown race?
It’s great to be close to home, having friends, family, and even weekly competitors come out to cheer you on. It’s a unique feeling to see how you stack up against the regional drivers.
What is unique about the racing community in Edmonton?
We’re like most racing communities; everyone knows each other, helps each other out, and tries to beat each other on the track instead of in the pits. This camaraderie is something I see in Saskatoon as well, and it’s been my experience everywhere.
What are your pre-race rituals?
Honestly, I don’t have any specific rituals. On a hot day like today, I just try to stay hydrated. Other than that, there’s nothing particular I do.
Do you have a pre-race playlist?
No, I don’t have a pre-race playlist either. I just pop in and see what I’ve got.
