Kevin Lacroix in the No. 74 Gates Hydraulics/NAPA Racing Dodge was quickest in practice, with a time of 19:825s at Ohsweken Speedway ahead of the Freshstone Dirt Classic.

Lacroix who has two wins this season, both coming at Riverside, is looking for his first win on the dirt.

“First place in practice tonight. It doesn’t really mean much as the track changes a lot,” said Lacroix. “We need to work to get some more speed as the track changed and later in practice we were not as fast.”

Finishing second in practice was the No. 27 GM Paille/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet, and teammate to Lacroix, Andre Ranger, with a fast time of 19.900s.

2022 series champion Marc-Antoine Camirand in the No. 96 GM Paille/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet came home third with a time of 19.925s.

Ken Schrader, who won one of the two events last year finished fourth in practice.

Chase Briscoe finished practice in seventh in practice behind the wheel of the No. 1 Rinnai/Mahindra Tractors/S3 Ford for his first time in a NASCAR Canada Series car.

Up next is the qualifying heat races at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the green flag for the Freshstone Dirt Classic at 9:40 p.m. ET.
