The 2023 NASCAR Pinty’s season has officially begun and now drivers head to the historic turns of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
This time last year, Kevin Lacroix and Gary Klutt battled it out until the final corner, where the No. 74 of Lacroix got to the inside of the No. 59 of Klutt, causing him to drive into the outside wall.
The fiery finish gave Lacroix the win while Klutt recovered to finish fourth.
Marc-Antoine Camirand will also be a fan favourite this weekend – he took home the win when the series visited the track in September – effectively clinching his 2022 Championship.
Don’t forget about other former winners like L.P. Dumoulin, Alex Tagliani, and Andrew Ranger. All three will be looking to return to victory this weekend.
Treyten Lapcevich, who won last Saturday at Sunset Speedway, has picked up good finishes at CTMP the last few years, picking up a sixth and fifth place finish in each event last year, respectively and even scored a podium in his first race at CTMP. Lapcevich could be a dark horse this weekend.
All series races will stream live on TSN’s new subscription based, streaming platform, TSN+ and FloRacing in the United States. Tape-delay broadcasts will air on TSN and RDS2 in Canada.
