Tagliani’s Auctions off Race Helmet to Support Important Cause

Alex Tagliani and the Tagliani Foundation teamed up with sponsor NTN Bearings to auction off his race worn helmet to raise funds and support for Le Mitan, a shelter for women victims of domestic violence and their children. This cause is very near and dear to Tagliani as it is in close proximity to his TAG E-Karting Centre.

Mike Allen, President of Applied Technologies, was the winner of the helmet with an incredibly generous winning bid of $5,000. Tagliani was very happy to present Mike with the helmet this past weekend at the NASCAR Pinty’s Series race at Circuit ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec.

Tagliani was especially happy that he was able to give a helmet that has a successful history. The No. 18 Viagra/St.Hubert/QwickWick driver  wore this helmet and finished second at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May.

Tagliani will look to improve his position by one spot when the Pinty’s Series returns to CTMP this weekend for the second last race of the season.

“We’re looking forward to going back to CTMP for the second last race of the season.” said Tagliani. “We are going to battle hard and give it everything we have. We are going to finish the season in a very good spot”.

The WeatherTech 200 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will take the green flag at 1:05 PM EST on Sunday, September 4th.
