PIT BOX: NASCAR Pinty’s Series Hits the Tarmac at Circuit ICAR

With only three races remaining in the 2022 NASCAR Pinty’s season, the series now heads to Quebec for the final time this year, for round eleven at Circuit ICAR.

The quick, unique airport tarmac, road course will have drivers battling for all 70 laps.

In all eight visits to the Mirabel airport, only three different drivers have won, with Andrew Ranger and Kevin Lacroix dominating the track since 2012.

Lacroix is the reigning race winner, with an opportunity to tie, Ranger for most wins at the track (4).

Last year at ICAR, the two race winners controlled the race for all 83 laps, taking the top two spots of the podium, with L.P. Dumoulin capturing his third top-three finish at the track.

Marc-Antoine Camirand and Alex Tagliani were both super dominant throughout the race, but each faced mechanical issues, hindering their finishing positions.

The most recent road course winner, Alex Guenette has also seen great results at ICAR, with a top-five last year and a runner-up finish in 2014.
