Dexter Stacey originally joined the NASCAR Canada Series back in 2009 and raced full-time in the series until 2013.
In 2019, he came back the series for two events and in 2020 joined the Ed Hakonson Racing stables where he has been since.
In 2023, Stacey ran full time in the No. 92 Chevrolet with a best finish of ninth at Delaware. At Autodrome Chaudière, Raphael Lessard subbed in for Stacey halfway through the race, and brought the car home in third.
Stacey's first podium finish came at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in May 2022.
