Autodrome Chaudière first opened its doors in 1992 as a dirt track and four years later the track was converted into a 1/3-mile, semi-banked, clay oval.

In 2005, the track was fully converted into the 1/4-mile asphalt oval with 18 degrees of banking that fans know today.

In 2014, the Pinty’s Series made its debut at the Vallée-Jonction, Quebec track, with Jason Hathaway winning the inagural race. A year later he went back-to-back become the only repeat race winner at Chaudière.

The next three races would see past and future series champions in victory lane. Alex Labbe won at his home track in 2016, while Cayden Lapcevich won there in 2017. Then, two-time champion, Andrew Ranger won in 2018, breaking a two-year and 22 race winless streak.

The last time the series visited Autodrome Chaudière, hometown star Raphael Lessard made his series debut. After leading 153 laps, Lessard was crowned winner in the rain shortened race, becoming the only driver in series history to win their first race.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the series was unable to visit Chaudière in 2020 and while the track was slated for a return in 2021, on-going restrictions and the threat of severe rain, canceled the event.

The NASCAR Pinty’s Series made it’s long-awaited return to Autodrome Chaudière in June 2022 with a record number (23) cars entered in the event. Andrew Ranger took home his second win at the track after hard fought battles with D.J. Kennington, L.P. Dumoulin, Marc-Antoine Camirand.
