Originally opened in 2006 as Bridge City Speedway, with progressive banking in its corners, the Saskatoon track has had many names over its time, including Auto Clearing Motor Speedway and more recently, Wyant Group Raceway.
In 2009, the Pinty’s Series made its debut at the track, won by Scott Steckly after a back-and-forth battle with Don Thomson Jr.
The series recorded its fourth closest finish in series history at the track back in 2011. D.J. Kennington fought for the lead the entire race. On a restart with five laps to go, Kennington was pressed to defend his lead but on the final lap, lost it to Pete Shepherd III. Kennington crossed the line in second, 0.045 seconds behind Shepherd.
In 2017, NASCAR decided to change the format of the race at Sutherland, changing the 250-lap feature into two twin 125-lap races. The first doubleheaders were won by Alex Labbe and Cayden Lapcevich.
A year later the twin races were swept by two first-time winners, Donald Theetge and Cole Powell.
In 2019, L.P. Dumoulin won the first race of the evening, before a storm rolled through the area, dumping a mass amount of rain. After a serious delay to pump water out of the infield, Andrew Ranger dominated the second feature.
For the following two years, the series was unable to travel west due to the COVID-19 pandemic but now returns to Saskatoon with the highest car count the track has seen (23).
