Canadian Raphael Lessard Scores Maiden Truck Series Victory

NASCAR Pinty’s Series alumni Raphael Lessard scored his first NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series victory today at Talladega.

The 19-year-old from St.-Joseph de Beauce, Quebec survived a chaotic Chevy Silverado 250 to claim his first win racing for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

During the final lap, a wreck on the backstretch caused a caution ending the race. The No. 4 Canac Toyota was out front at the time of caution, giving Lessard the win.

Talladega marks Lessard’s second race on a superspeedway. The rookie’s first was earlier this year at Daytona International Speedway where he finished 20th.


In 2019, Lessard won his debut race in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series at his home track, Autodrome Chaudiere. He also finished seventh at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivieres, driving for Dumoulin Competition in both races.
