Another chapter in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series began in 2015 at Canadian Tire Motorport Park.
The historic road course hosted the opening round of the then NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, and the Pinty’s Presents the Clarington 200 promised plenty of compelling drama for the upcoming season.
Reining series champion, LP Dumoulin had his sights set on being the first driver to win back-to-back titles, and the Quebec driver swept the CTMP events in 2013. Defending race winner J.R. Fitzpartrick had stepped away from the series.
Andrew Ranger had two CTMP wins, but finished outside the top 20 in both 2014 events, while veteran Scott Steckly was still in search of his first win there.
